:: Ship Needs ::
Ship 444 can always use any donations in the form of funding or
supplies. All donations to the ship are tax deductible. If you are
interested in donating anything, please contact Skipper Mitch Johnson.
His contact information can be found on the Contact Us page.
Any donation of materials to the ship need not be new, but in working

Donation of services is welcomed as well. If you have working knowledge
of anything related to water sports and would like to help, let us know!

Boats!
Our ship is always on the look out for boats (small sailboats, large

scouts who can. So if you have a boat you are interested in donating

donated two 16' Hobie-Cats for racing to our ship.
Other Needs
We can also use:
- A ship's bell
- Ship's Compass
- Line (rope) of all sizes
- Sextant
- Nautical maps for training
- Flags- American, Mississippi, Sea Scout, set of nautical flags
- Consultants who know about sailing, motor boating, repairs,
engine repairs, navigation, tec.
Currently we are in the midst of planning and executing fundraisers for our upcoming events.
We are trying to get SCUBA certified which will cost us at least $150 per person.
We are also trying to raise money to fund our potential Sea Base trip next summer. This will be a major expense.
On top of all these activities, we are always looking to raise money or find supplies to bring our sailboat into working condition.
The cabin of the boat has been entirely gutted and needs to be redone. There is also some fiberglass work that will have to be done before she's sail-worthy. This is a major project.
